Want to make a real impact for Autistic and Neurodivergent youth? Autistic Youth International welcomes volunteers who believe in inclusion, accessibility, and youth-led support. Whether you can help weekly or occasionally, remote or in-person, your time helps us create safer, more affirming spaces for Autistic young people.

Neurodiversity Pride Day

Help with event setup and tear down, activity planning and support, vendor outreach and support, and other tasks as needed (local applicants only).

Inclusive Literacy & Book Programs

Support our book drives through resource distribution to Little Free Libraries throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas.

Who We’re Looking For :

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. Great volunteers
  • Have knowledgeable of Disability, Autism or Neurodivergence (or be willing to learn)
  • Committed to inclusion, representation, equality and accessibility
  • Aligned with our mission and values
  • Experienced working with youth (not a requirement, but a plus)
Autistic, Neurodivergent and Disabled volunteers are strongly encouraged to apply. Autistic Youth International is a safe space for all, and we embrace our LGBTQIA+ volunteers.

Time Commitment & Format

  • Flexible scheduling (one-time, monthly, or weekly)
